O/L Literature Help (rcflithelp.com) is a free study website for G.C.E. O/L English Literature, run by RCF Creations in Kandy, Sri Lanka. This page explains what information is collected when you use the site and how it is used.
Information you give us
You can use the whole site without signing up or giving your name. The site has no accounts, forms or comments. If you contact RCF on WhatsApp or by phone, we use your message only to reply to you.
Visitor statistics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are most useful, for example how many people read a study guide or download a practice paper. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit, roughly where you are (country and city), and what kind of device and browser you use. It does not tell us who you are, and Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
To keep the site free, it shows advertisements from Google AdSense.
- Google and its partners use cookies to show ads on this site. These cookies can be used to show you ads based on your visits to this site and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can turn off personalised advertising in Google's Ad Settings. You can also visit www.aboutads.info to opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising.
You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Information stored on your device
The site remembers a few simple choices in your browser, for example that you closed the "Add shortcut" bar or the practice-papers announcement, so they do not appear again too soon. If you add LitHelp to your home screen, a copy of the pages you have opened is kept on your device so that they work offline. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, although Google Analytics will not count your visits and the ads you see will not be personalised.
Students
This site is written for secondary-school students preparing for the O/L examination, and for their teachers and parents. It is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Links to other websites
Some pages link to other websites, such as YouTube videos and rcfenglish.com. Those websites have their own privacy policies.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. For any questions, contact RCF on WhatsApp at 070 439 5240.
